New London Council makes Hicks permanent police chief
Ellen SImmons Special to the Ashland Times-Gazette NEW LONDON - At Monday’s meeting, council unanimously voted to make Joe Hicks the permanent police chief. He has served as the interim chief since the death of chief Mike Marko in November. Hicks’ prior department rank was lieutenant. Upon Hicks’ recommendation, council voted to promote officer Zack Ingram from part time to full time.
