Chloe Shelford Dec 15, 2020 Dakota Partners, the developers behind the proposed Woodland Cove affordable housing development at the intersection of Red Brook Road and Cranberry Highway, plan to start construction in May 2021. The developers recently secured funding for the project through state and federal low-income housing tax credits, Massachusetts housing subsidy funds, and through commercial lenders. To make way for the housing development, the Starlight Motel will need to be demolished. The Dakota Partners and the motel’s current owner, Boston Land Group, are working to help relocate the current residents of the motel. Those of the residents who are qualified will be given the option to move into the new housing when it is complete, according to the developer. ....
