Geological Tour of Willow River State Park
A geological tour hike of Willow River State Park will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, from the Dam Picnic Shelter at the end of the park road. The 5-mile hike led by a naturalist will showcase several geological phenomena within the park, dating back as old as 570 million years ago.Â
The hike will take between two and a half and three hours. Dress for the weather, and bring water, snacks, binoculars and camera if desired.Â
The program is limited to 50 people on a first-come, first-serve basis.Â
