More than 300 children, parents, and grandparents attended the very first and very festive Chamber Breakfast with Santa held at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City on Saturday, Dec. 16. Co-sponsored by United Federal Credit Union, the first event turned out to be a huge community success.

As a young mother hoping to create positive and lasting holiday memories for my daughter, I would book us for breakfast with Santa that usually took place in a large department store when we lived in Washington D.C and San Diego. The event was memorable though I don’t recall the menu, for the food was secondary to the overall event.
