Polished14:46 Christie’s upcoming Magnificent Jewels auction in New York consists of 143 lots, including six diamonds ranging from 14.52 to 1.06 carats and the ever spectacular Dancing Sun, a fancy intense yellow diamond of 204.36 carats. Each of these seven diamonds was cut and polished in Antwerp from a single piece of rough, totaling 552.74 carats. The rough diamond was uncovered in October 2018 in the Diavik Diamond Mine, located approximately 135 miles south of the Arctic Circle in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
