BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas Browne reports that the Burlington Police Department is currently investigating an alleged phone threat made to Marshall Simonds Middle School.
The threat was made via phone on Friday, and the anonymous caller "expressed an intent to do harm" at the school this coming week, police said.
The Burlington Police Department promoted Capt. Daniel J. Hanafin and Lt. Matthew H. Leary on Monday, April 25, according to Police Chief Thomas P. Browne.
Burlington’s local election is April 9, and with a few weeks before the deadline to take out papers, there are two races shaping up.
