Charles Foon Lum Jan. 27, 1928 April 14, 2021 Charles ‘Charlie’ Foon Lum passed away peacefully at home on his farm on April 14, 2021. Charlie was born in Suisun City, California, on Jan. 27, 1928, to Dan and Elsie Foon. He was the third of seven children. Charlie grew up in Suisun Valley and attended Armijo High School, where he excelled in several sports like football and track. In 1950, he married Jessie Hong Lee and they moved to their farm on Mankas Corner. Charlie worked on the farm with his father and brother Ed. In their success, they expanded to several other ranches in Suisun Valley, growing tomatoes, persimmons, pears, prunes and more. Charlie loved driving the D6 Bulldozer, and he stubbornly drove it well into his 80s. ....
