From STAFF REPORTS A McMechen man accused of fatally shaking his infant son in 2019 was indicted by a Marshall County grand jury this week. Daniel Messner was indicted on one county of death of a child by a parent, guardian or custodian. Messner was originally charged in November 2019, accused of allegedly shaking his 3-month-old son, causing brain bleeds that investigators said eventually killed the child three days later.
