Former D.C. Guard lawyer alleges retaliation by Army officials covering for generals implicated in Trump's coup
In a whistle-blower complaint filed last October, Col. Earl Matthews said he was retaliated against by Army officials for accusing Generals Walter Piatt and Charles Flynn of lying before Congress and in official Department of Defense investigations concerning the delay in deploying D.C. National Guard troops to the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
