From the president s, as you said, someone running for reelection. so, that s where we can expect to hear more of the tone that we heard during the last midterm elections, calling republicans maga republicans, the party of trump. so it ll be a tricky balance for him to be striking this line of, well, we do want to get things done with republicans. in fact, we can t get anything done without them. but also, he doesn t need to draw the contrast with the party he s gonna be running against in a couple years. daniel, it s impossible not to look at this through 2024 lens. how does the state of the union speech give the president an opportunity to build his case for a second term? what s his pitch that you think he s gonna make here? well, white house officials have been telling me over the past few weeks that it s going to a lot of what they planned to say when joe biden runs, even though he hasn t announced yet, it has to do with the economy. so we re gonna hear about the inflation reduction act. we re gonna hear about record
