Volunteers with a community project that has provided a lifeline to many people during the pandemic have spoken about how rewarding they have found the experience.
3food4u has grown to be the largest food emergency food agency in the Epping Forest district in the space of six months thanks largely to the efforts of those who have given up their time to help.
Charity founder Pesh Kapasiawala said: “We re so proud and grateful to all our wonderful tireless volunteers who run the vital community surplus hubs, who organise the critical logistics of collecting and distributing food and clothes, very often during anti-social hours, who sort and stock take, who organise fundraising events including operating our charity shop, who write grant applications, who support with administration, PR, communications, website, social media and much more.” ....
