Mertztown goat had roamed the Berks village for a decade before being killed by a crossbow
The white and brown Boer goat showed up more than a decade ago in Mertztown, Longswamp Township, and quickly became the unofficial mascot bringing joy to residents. She was found dead Oct. 9, 2023.
