Athens-Clarke police are investigating a complaint about two dogs left tied to a post in the summer sun, where their suffering necessitated an overnight stay at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine. What police described as a case of “cruelty to animals” occurred last Friday outside the Athens-Clarke County Animal Services facility on Buddy Christian Way.
