BRAVO to Masidi’s unequivocal winding up speech on GLCs in DUN.

RECENTLY, an assertion was made that there is no Sabah/Sarawak Bloc. This is a sweeping statement which can create a false impression or misperception. It is normal, before making such a broad statement, to produce a definition of what is or what is not a Sabah/Sarawak Bloc.

DATUK Seri Hajiji, as the new CM in September 2020, inherited a very poor economy after the Covid pandemic, almost empty state coffer and negative GDP at 8.7%.

Expose the Financial cost and opportunity cost of non-performing and under-performing GLCs. The usual mild and genteel Hajiji could not hide his disappointment. Painfully, the GLCs have under delivered below par dividends by 8.8% YOY. Exceptional performers were Innoprise which produced a record of RM147 million and new comer, SMJ with a maiden ang pau dividend of RM50m for Hajiji.

FOLLOWING my last Sunday’s article in which I mentioned that Sabah is in great need of elite officers, I have had some chats with friends and concerned Sabahans on the subject.
