ST. CLAIR SHORES — The St. Clair Shores City Council approved Matthew Baumgarten as the new assistant city manager and human resources director in a 6-0 vote on April 15.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — In a 5-2 vote, the St. Clair Shores City Council, at their March 18 meeting, approved ballot language for a streets millage proposal to be put on the August 2024 ballot.

The bills would require a research facility to first offer a dog or cat that would otherwise be euthanized to an animal shelter for adoption and prescribe administrative fines for failing to do so. They would provide research facilities and shelters with civil liability immunity in the transfer of the animals.
