When the city began testing air quality in all the schools over the summer, officials learned the ventilation system at Patrick E. Bowe School was very poor and had to be replaced before students and teachers could return to the school during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Bowe School is under construction so second through fifth graders will not start until around the first week in April,” Principal David Drugan said. ....
