Drink driver in court for crashing car into Sandy Lane wall

A MAN who crashed a car while over the drink-drive limit was ‘lucky’ not to have suffered more serious injuries. Thomas Bevan, of Richmond Avenue in Latchford, smashed the vehicle into a parked car and garden wall in Orford after leaving a party. The 24-year-old, who had a passenger in the car at the time, fled the scene but was later found by police dogs and arrested. He was subsequently charged with aggravated vehicle taking, drink driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
