Ijaw leader and elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, has written an open letter to President Bola Tinubu over the ongoing political crisis in Ondo State, southwest Nigeria. Following the lingering leadership crisis in the state occasioned by the failure of the ailing Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to resign, Clark suggested that President Tinubu who has intervened in the crisis, should adopt the former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon’s Eminent Persons Committee’s suggestion on Doctrine of Necessity to resolve the escalating political crisis in the state.
