BATON ROUGE - Central community members held a groundbreaking event on Tuesday for a new playground at Central Intermediate school.
As the Salvation Army of Bell County sees demand rise among families facing housing insecurities, evictions or homelessness, the agency is launching a drive for new, in-the-box air mattresses.
“We are asking our community neighbors to love on our clients by providing air mattresses to keep them from sleeping on the floor,” said Lt. David Beckham.
The Salvation Army of Bell County said the food distribution will be at the Greater Killeen Community Clinic, 718 N. 2nd St., on March 15 from 9 a.m. to noon.
