Historian talks about work to help identify remains of Korean War MIA; connection to Marion County soldier
A year ago, a Korean War hero from Buena Vista was brought home to Georgia – 73 years after his battlefield death. Private First Class Luther Story was just 19 when he was killed. He received the Medal of Honor for his actions. But his remains were not identified for decades. For more than seven decades, the remains buried with more than 800 others in Hawaii were simply known as X-260, Tanggok. Dr. Dawn Alexandrea Berry is one of the people who gave Luther Story his name back.
