Knightdale shuts out Triton in season opener, 33-0 Tags: Updated February 26, 2021 9:45 p.m. EST By Nick Stevens, HighSchoolOT managing editor Knightdale, N.C. On a rainy Friday afternoon, Knightdale opened the spring 2021 football season with a convincing win over non-conference opponent Triton. Showing off some of its offensive explosiveness, Knightdale scored 26 points in the first half en route to a 33-0 win over Triton. Senior quarterback Terron Simpson Jr. led the way for Knightdale. Simpson threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third. A quarterback keeper for Simpson gave Knightdale its first lead of the game at 6-0 in the first quarter. That lead held through the rest of the quarter. ....
