A WOMAN whose body was found in a smoke-filled caravan had intended to take her own life, an inquest heard. Jacqueline Leslie Oakley, 63, sent texts to friends and an email to BBC Breakfast implying that she intended to kill herself. She was found on December 6, 2020, in a touring caravan sited between a half-built property and the River Ceiriog where she was living. There was also a derelict property and a larger caravan on the site at Ddol Hir on Llanarmon Road in Glyn Ceiriog near Llangollen. A WOMAN made a desperate plea for help from the ambulance service hours before she died in a caravan fire, an inquest heard. Jacqueline Leslie Oakley, 63, told call operators she was struggling to breathe before being found dead in a static caravan home next to a half-built property at Ddol Hir caravan park on Llanarmon Road in Glyn Ceiriog near Llangollen at around 3.30pm on December 6. At a brief hearing at County Hall in Ruthin on Monday, an inquest was opened into her death. It heard Ms Oakley had called an ambulance just after 1.20pm saying she was having difficulty breathing.
