COVID-19 Regional Report
Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports four new community cases and seven new inmate cases. Two of the new cases are hospitalized, seven total are in the hospital. Active community cases decreased to 90, six individuals were released from isolation. Cases have been identified among the inmates at the new Tuolumne County Jail, an update was provided here. Public health also notes other facilities are working with them to address the outbreaks.
The new community cases include 1 male age 40-49, 1 female age 50-59, 1 male age 70-79, and 1 female age 80 to 89.
Tuolumne County has a total of 3,660 cases split between 2,399 community cases and 1,261 inmate cases. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation reports 49 active inm
Calaveras and Tuolumne remain in the purple tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy color Tier System. Test positivity for Tuolumne excluding prisons with a 7-day lag is 6% the 7-day average case rate is 21.6. For Calaveras, it is a 10.2% test positivity rate and a 34.2 case rate. To qualify for the Red Tier the test positivity must be under 5-8% and under 5-8 new cases daily. Under the State’s guidance purple tier means restaurants may open for outdoor dining, nail salons and hairdressers may reopen indoors with modifications. Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports 40 new community cases and 5 inmate cases at Sierra Conservation Center. Three of the new cases are hospitalized. A total of 92 individuals have been released from isolation and there are 6 total individuals currently hospitalized. Active community cases decreased to 51.
The new community cases include 1 female under the age of 17, 2 males and 2 females age 18 to 29, 2 male and 3 females age 30 to 39, 1 male and 2 female age 40-49, 4 males and 5 females age 50-59, 3 males and 2 females age 60-69, 1 male and 3 females age 70-70, 1 male and 2 females age 80 to 89 and 6 females over 90.
