Fewer than 10,000 voters in Bedford County cast a ballot during the primary election on Tuesday, according to unofficial results. While overall vote counts — which totaled 9,587 — were comparatively low to midterm and presidential election years, Deb Brown, director of elections, said there were a high number of write-in votes, which exceeded 2,600. Kevin Diehl of Bedford received 1,588 votes on the Republican side for Magisterial District Judge Office 57-03-2 and will appear on the ballot in November.
