Toy poodle, 15, wins Ogunquit, ME, patriotic pooches pageant
OGUNQUIT, Maine — Patriotic costumes were plentiful Sunday, April 18, in a pageant hosted by the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce, and they were all worn by dogs. Gingersnap, a 15-year-old toy poodle, was declared the winner of the Patriotic Pooch Pageant and Meet Miss Maine, an annual event to celebrate Patriot's Day. "She is American Woman, still going strong," said Gingersnap's "mom" Elizabeth Ford of Ogunquit.
