A social media spat over the removal of a Christmas tree from a Massachusetts public library has led to what officials called “threats and bullying” and an LGBT activist stepping down from her position in a human rights group after sending profanity-laden messages attacking Christians.
Dedham Public Library officials refused to put up their annual Christmas tree because it made people too uncomfortable to look at.

Patrons will be able to safely browse new releases, best sellers and children’s books. The pop-up library will run Wednesdays, 1:30-4:30 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and Fridays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (weather permitting). During this time, all holds will continue to be picked up at the pick-up window. Masks are required for all patrons when visiting the Pop-Up Library. A few reminders:
