Where a plaintiff has brought suit over his dismissal as a student from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, the defendants’ motion for summary judgment should be allowed in part, as (1) the plaintiff’s state-law claims are barred by Eleventh Amendment sovereign immunity principles to the extent that he seeks monetary damages from defendants or retroactive injunctive relief, (2) the plaintiff received adequate procedural due process prior to his dismissal and (3) the plaintiff cannot demonstrate that he was treated differently.
