The West Virginia House of Delegates, on Feb. 22, 2024, passed a bill that would begin the process of phasing out income tax collections on Social Security benefits. House Bill 4880 was approved by a 96-to-0 vote, with four members absent or not voting. It now goes to the West Virginia Senate for consideration.
