The Centre's Stage IV of GRAP was invoked in Delhi-NCR on Sunday (November 5) in view of the worsening air quality in the national capital and its adjoining areas.
Even as Delhi-NCRs air turns hazardous, many other cities across India like Mumbai have also been witnessing growing pollution levels. Experts point out that poor air has severe impact on mental health and active steps must be taken to minimise the impact of pollution.
Delhi's air quality index increased to 460 on Friday, even as GRAP-III regulations are under implementation in the national capital. The Delhi government is set to hold a meeting today at 12 pm to discuss the worsening situation.
