7th Pay Commission: Centre to restore dearness allowance benefits? Crucial meeting today


Highlights
A Union Cabinet meeting is expected to be held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Prior to this, government officials of various departments had met on June 26 to finalise the matter.
Employees of the central employees currently get a 17 per cent dearness allowance of their basic salary.
New Delhi: More than 1.2 crore central employees and pensioners of the central government must be patiently waiting for an important meeting today (June 7) that might decide the rollout of the increased dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR). The Union Cabinet meeting members are also likely to take a decision regarding the arrears for the two months of July and August. If both the decision goes in the favour of central government employees and pensioners, then they will be able to enjoy increased salaries and pensions starting September 2021.

राजधानी दिल्ली में सोमवार से जिम और योग केंद्र खुल सकते हैं। दिल्ली आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (डीडीएमए) ने शनिवार रात कहा कि होटलों को विवाह समारोह आयोजित करने की अनुमति होगी, लेकिन इसमें शामिल होने वाले लोगों की अधिकतम संख्या 50 होगी। डीडीएमए ने कहा कि व्यायामशालाओं और योग संस्थानों को 50 प्रतिशत क्षमता के साथ खोलने की अनुमति होगी। बैंक्वेट हॉलों, मैरिज हॉलों तथा होटलों को अधिकतम 50 व्यक्तियों की सीमा के साथ विवाह समारोह आयोजित करने की अनुमति होगी।
उल्लेखनीय है कि दिल्ली में चरणबद्ध तरीके से 'अनलॉक' की प्रक्रिया 31 मई से शुरू हुई है। राजधानी में अब शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, थिएटरों, स्पा और स्विमिंग पूल जैसी कुछ जगहों को छोड़कर अधिकांश गतिविधियों और स्थानों को फिर से खोलने की अनुमति दी जा रही है।

डीडीएमए ने मेट्रो को 50 प्रतिशत क्षमता के साथ संचालित करने की अवधि को एक सप्ताह और बढ़ा दिया है। इससे पहले दिल्ली मेट्रो रेलवे कॉरपोरेशन ने 14 जून को दिल्ली सरकार को पत्र लिखकर कहा था कि सरकार की ओर से प्रतिबंधों में दी जा रही छूट के कारण मेट्रो स्टेशनों में प्रवेश करने और ट्रेन में चढ़ने के लिए लंबी कतारें लग रही हैं। 
गौरतलब है कि कोरोना वायरस की दूसरी लहर की वजह से राजधानी में 19 अप्रैल को एक सप्ताह के लिए लॉकडाउन लगाया गया था, लेकिन बाद में इसे बढ़ाकर 31 मई तक कई कर दिया गया था।
दिल्ली में कोविड-19 के 85 नए मामले, नौ लोगों की मौत
दिल्ली में शनिवार को कोविड-19 के 85 नए मामले आए, जो कि इस साल के सबसे कम दैनिक मामले हैं। वहीं, पिछले 24 घंटे में संक्रमण से नौ और लोगों की मौत हो गई।
स्वास्थ्य विभाग की ओर से जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, दिल्ली में संक्रमण दर घटकर 0.12 प्रतिशत हो गई है। साथ ही कोविड-19 से नौ और लोगों की मौत हो जाने से मृतक संख्या 24,961 हो गई है। आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, सोमवार को दिल्ली में 89 मामले आए थे और संक्रमण दर 0.16 प्रतिशत थी, जबकि 11 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी। इससे पहले 16 फरवरी को 94 मामले और 27 जनवरी को 96 मामले आए थे।
दिल्ली में बुधवार को 111 लोगों के संक्रमित होने की पुष्टि हुई थी, जबकि संक्रमण दर 0.15 प्रतिशत थी। गुरुवार को संक्रमण के 109 मामले आए तथा आठ मरीजों की मौत हो गयी थी जबकि शुक्रवार को 115 लोगों में संक्रमण की पुष्टि हुई थी और चार लोगों की मौत हो गई थी।
अप्रैल के अंतिम सप्ताह में संक्रमण दर 36 प्रतिशत थी जो अब घटकर 0.20 प्रतिशत से नीचे चली गयी है। पिछले कुछ दिनों से संक्रमण के नए मामलों में कमी आने के बावजूद मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने हाल में आगाह किया था कोविड-19 महामारी की तीसरी लहर की आशंका सही साबित हो सकती है और कहा था कि सरकार इससे निपटने के लिए युद्ध स्तर पर तैयारी कर रही है।
स्वास्थ्य बुलेटिन के मुताबिक, एक दिन पहले आरटी-पीसीआर से 50,839 जांच और रैपिड एंटीजन पद्धति से 22,081 जांच समेत कुल 72,920 नमूनों की जांच की गई। दिल्ली में संक्रमितों की कुल संख्या 14,33,675 हो गई है। इनमें से 14 लाख से ज्यादा मरीज स्वस्थ हो चुके हैं। राजधानी में वर्तमान में 1598 एक्टिव मरीज हैं। एक दिन पहले इनकी संख्या 1680 थी। बुलेटिन के मुताबिक होम आइसोलेशन वाले मरीजों की संख्या 494 है, जबकि 1817 कंटेनमेंट जोन हैं।
