Delphos, others receive $17.5M in financing from Ohio EPA

COLUMBUS
Communities in Northwest Ohio are receiving approximately $17.5
million in low-interest rate funding from Ohio EPA to improve wastewater
and drinking water infrastructure and make other water quality
improvements. The loans were approved between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020.
The lower interest rates and principal forgiveness will save these
communities more than $6.76 million.
For the fourth quarter of 2020, the following projects in the area are receiving funding:
Delphos is receiving two loans. The first is a $447,566 loan to replace a water main on Fifth Street.
This
loan includes $350,000 in principal forgiveness. Principal forgiveness ....

Local teachers can get vaccine Tuesday morning

COLUMBUS Local teachers will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday in St. John’s All-Saints Building.
Every
public school district in the state - except for one - has agreed to
resume in-person schooling by March 1 which was a requirement for staff
to have early access to the vaccine.
K-12 schools whose staff can
be vaccinated next week have been notified. All other schools were
contacted Friday with information on when their K-12 staff will be
permitted to receive a vaccine.
A vaccine clinic will be held in
St. John’s All-Saints Building on Tuesday for teachers from both Delphos ....

Lincolnview teachers and support staff will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, February 5, and the follow-up vaccinations on Friday, March 5.

That was the word from Lincolnview Superintendent Jeff Snyder during Wednesday night’s Board of Education meeting. He also said paperwork has been distributed to employees and he added it’s up to each individual to decide if they want the vaccine.
Teachers and staff members will learn more during a meeting scheduled for this Friday afternoon. Classes will dismiss two hours early that day. ....

It is my honor and privilege, as the Mayor of the City of Delphos,
Ohio, to give the 2021 State of the City. This is required by Ohio
Revised Code Section 733.41 and is given at the first council meeting of
the new year.
I want to begin by thanking the city staff and the
city council for their dedicated service to the Delphos community
throughout the previous year. 2020 certainly proved to be a year with
unique challenges that required the city to adapt to an ever-changing
