The ADR has filed an application with the Supreme Court calling for the publication of voter turnout data of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In addition to scanned copies of Form 17C the Supreme Court has urged the ECI to publish data on votes cast.

As per the latest numbers issued by the poll body, out of the 76.40 crore people who had the chance to vote in the first five phases, 50.72 crore exercised the right across 428 Lok Sabha seats in the country. In recent weeks, opposition parties including the Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist), and Trinamool Congress wrote to the EC, criticising the delay in releasing the final voter turnout figures and demanding the publication of the total number of voters in each parliamentary constituency
The EC noted that authorised agents of all candidates will have access to Form 17C across all 543 Parliamentary Constituencies, with a distinct form available for each of the approximately 10.5 lakh polling stations.
