Effective April 10, the LifeStyleRx â a 80,000-square-foot gym located at the hospitalâs 1119 E. Stanley Blvd. campus â will shutter its doors while the organization works to identify which clinical services the community needs more. By transforming the space, SHC â VC s goal is to support a growing volume of patients with various needs. The timeline for remodeling the space will be dependent on SHC - VC s eventual decision.

According to local health officials, the week ending on Dec. 12 was the single worst week of the pandemic so far in Alameda County, with more than 5,000 new COVID-19 cases reported and over 1,000 cases reported on each of the last two days.
