BILLINGS - New information has been released regarding events that took place before a crime spree and fatal police stand-off at a Billings West End home last month. Dennis Gresham, 33, of Sheridan, Wyo., died of multiple gunshot wounds, Sheriff Mike Linder said. Officers were pursuing the van on Friday afternoon when it crashed and a man and woman got out and ran away. The woman was hit with a stun gun and arrested, officials said. Officers pursued Michael Lee McClure. 26, through a neighborhood and he ended up hiding in an attic. Police werenât able to successfully negotiate or use chemicals to get him to surrender. Officers shot and killed him when he charged at them, Police Chief Rich St. John said. McClure was a transient, Linder said Tuesday.
