Nurse, scholar, advocate, mentor, drummer, runner, loyal friend, and loving husband, father, son, and brother, Dennis P. Doherty, PhD, RN, NPDA-BC, passed away on Sun., Feb. 12, while battling pancreatic cancer. He was 46. Dennis was born in Boston, in what is now Brigham and Women’s Hospital, just a few short blocks from Children’s, his future proving ground as a professional.
