Numerous arrests made in undercover sting operation

A multi-agency operation targeting online child sex predators led to 14 arrests last week. Members of numerous law enforcement agencies around the state participated in the two-day operation.

More than a dozen men accused of targeting children for sex crimes were arrested in the Las Vegas metro area this week as part of an undercover operation, authorities said Friday.
The 14 suspects engaged in inappropriate conversations with agents posing as juveniles on the internet and tried to set up sexual encounters with them, according to police.
The accused predators, whose ages ranged from 24 to 50, were taken into custody after showing up at a location where they allegedly planned to sexually abuse a minor, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release.
