Formerly "Tropical Depression Two," the disturbance was upgraded on Friday to the first named tropical storm of the season.
Florida residents may see 1 to 2 inches of rain, with up to 5 inches possible in some locations, through Saturday.
The stormy pattern continues as Tropical Depression Two remains west of Florida, over the Gulf of Mexico. Early morning showers and storms are along the coast or offshore this Friday.
Tropical Storm Arlene formed in the eastern Gulf of Mexico on Friday, the second day of the 2023 hurricane season.
