‘Blue wall of silence’ at Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office protected abusive deputy, put colleague at risk, lawsuit alleges

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office covered up domestic violence allegations against a jail deputy and looked the other way as he continued to harass and abuse his then-girlfriend who also worked at the jail, a new lawsuit claims.
Carin Sherman, 34, a Clackamas County community service officer, this week filed a lawsuit against the county in U.S. District Court in Portland, alleging discrimination and a hostile work environment.
The lawsuit does not cite the amount in damages she is seeking. ....
