Bromley pubs, bars and clubs urged to apply for council relief

Independent pubs, bars and sports and social clubs in Bromley are being encouraged to apply for grants from a £1 million council fund.
The Independent Public House and Clubs Grant targets local businesses severely impacted by the latest lockdown with limited access to support
Grants range from £3000 for the smallest premises, and up to £10,500 for larger premises.
Jamie and Carole Muir, who have been the managing The Oak in Widmore Road, Bickley for 16 years, say they have never known a more difficult period for the industry.
Carole said: “We run a safe and family-friendly pub which is an important part of the local community.  We’re really frightened that without help we’ll not be able to survive the pandemic.”
