Sexual assault report under investigation ELLSWORTH Hancock County Sheriff’s Detective Stephen McFarland reported that a woman on Friday provided information about a sexual assault. The report is being investigated. Social media issues A Stonington man advised the Hancock County Regional Communications Center that someone had hacked his Facebook account. “I spoke with the caller and offered some suggestions on how to fix the issue,” said Deputy Jeff McFarland. Deputy Marcus Downes spoke with a Lamoine business owner Saturday about online harassment from prior customers. Theft Family fight Deputy Jeff McFarland went to a Deer Isle residence Saturday for a report of a family fight. “I met with the subjects involved and determined that no crime was committed,” the deputy said.
