Man leads LaPorte police on chase, then crashes
An Illinois man was taken into custody after he tried evading LaPorte County Sheriffâs Department officers on a chase through several fields and into LaPorte on Friday. Martin Devalois, 37, of Braidwood, Illinois is charged with felony counts of resisting law enforcement and serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
