The last session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) ended on Thursday after two sittings that commenced on Tuesday. Speaker, NLA, Sharingain Longkumer adjourned the house sine die, stating that the business’ listed had been transacted successfully. The 13th NLA, starting from the first session in 2018, has had 12 sessions, 38 days of sittings with a total time of 151 hours and 50 minutes. It has passed 26 Bills and adopted eight resolutions apart from other important businesses. It also discussed 14 core subject matters under Rule – 50 pertaining to various issues of public importance, the speaker said. Our Reporter Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): The foundation stone for construction of ‘Demonstration Housing Project’ (DHP) at Sematilla in Dimapur was laid virtually by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri from Delhi on Saturday. The minister of Public Works Department (Housing and Mechanical), government of Nagaland, Tongpang Ozukum, who joined the programme from Delhi, appealed to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) to consider sanctioning more demonstration housing projects in Nagaland while assuring to complete the work within the stipulated time. Citing emerging technologies being used for DHP, he said that it will reduce the time for completion of the projects in the future.
