Thanks to a change in rollback rates, which are set by the state, residents will see their taxes increase.
The Burlington City Council on Monday will vote on whether to approve the Fiscal Year 2022 budget, along with a tax levy decrease for all property owners. The Des Moines County Board of Supervisors will pass its budget, which includes a raise in the tax levy, but not enough of an increase eat up the tax decrease by the city, on March 23. ....
