ELLSWORTH — At a Feb. 7 meeting of the Ellsworth Historical Society, a motion was approved to form a committee of the society dedicated to seeking funding
Part of the plan would be to start a gofundme account for grassroots fundraising. Hancock County and the city of Ellsworth would also be approached for funding.
“One thing we’re excited about is getting people outside, getting people in touch with nature helping people learn about our space,” said Megan Moshier, director of sales and operations at Schoodic Institute.
The Winter Festival is an opportunity for the public to experience the Schoodic Institute Research Learning Center campus within Acadia National Park, including meals and lodging.
There’s been a fair amount of back and forth over the building, including what had looked like the society’s impending relinquishing of the property back to the county.
