Newly appointed RMC chief Devang Desai has formulated a standard operating procedure (SOP) for fire and other safety inspections in premises with large public gatherings. The SOP includes guidelines for follow-up inspections, building use permissions, and regularizations under GRUDA, 2022. Inspections will be conducted every six months to ensure compliance with safety regulations and any illegal constructions will be dealt with promptly.
