Special tax zone proposed to spur redevelopment of The Bend and Chattanooga's Westside
Two decades after Chattanooga redeveloped its downtown riverfront with its 21st century waterfront plan, city and county leaders Friday announced an even more ambitious effort to revitalize 300 acres of the Westside with more than 1 million square feet of commercial space, thousands of new homes and a new riverfront park.
