The former Nimbeaux's Restaurant will soon be occupied by a new restaurant. Louisiana-based soul food restaurant, Callihan's, will be opening up in the location at 2011 W. Pinhook Road in Lafayette, according to Developing Lafayette. This will be the second location for Callihan's. They are currently operating in Baker, Louisiana. According to Developing Lafayette, the Hub City's original escape room is expanding with a new 7,000 square foot "mega location" at 5520 Johnston Street, which is the Centerpiece Shopping Center. The original location is on Congress Street and has been entertaining folks since 2016. Today is April Fool's Day, and many local business took to their Facebook pages to play a few pranks, and There are some pretty good ones too. In fact, there were a few so good, many people around Acadiana fell for them hook, line, and sinker. If I had to pick the number one local April Fool's Day prank that seemed to dupe the most people, it would be Developing Lafayette's Dave & Buster's home run. I witnessed many on-line conversations gushing over the news that "we were finally getting one". There were even people talking about it in our building.

New amenities are on the way for residents of one local apartment complex, including a new clubhouse and a resort-style pool, according to reports. Residents of Bayou Shadows Apartment Complex in Lafayette can expect these renovations to be complete some time this summer.

PJ's Coffee and Little Caesars will both be opening up locations there in the next couple of months.
