The Ogun State Government has named a street in the Sagamu Local Government Area, after Nigeria-British boxer, Anthony Joshua.
The Council Chairman, Gbenga Banjo announced that the Cinema Road in the council which is also the homestead of the boxer has now become “Anthony Joshua Way” in the local government headquarters
Speaking at the family house of Anthony Joshua along the Anthony Joshua Way in Sagamu on Wednesday, Banjo announced that the decision was made in order to show appreciation to the boxing legend for making Sagamu Remoland and Nigeria great. ....

Osinbajo: Govt Alone Can't Provide People's Economic Needs

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday appealed to well-meaning citizens to adopt development programmes or projects for their various communities amid acute infrastructure deficit facing the country.
Osinbajo, also, noted that governments alone could not meet the social and economic needs of the people, hence the need for individual and corporate interventions to address infrastructure deficit in communities.
He made the call at the 1st Annual General Meeting of Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF), held at the foundation’s secretariat in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.
He particularly commended personalities in his Remo native community of Ogun State while urging others to emulate them. He said they had excelled in bringing economic prosperity to the grassroots. ....
