Ride With the Devil – JAMES EDWARDS

This song is from Rick Revel’s CD and DVD by the same title, “An American Journey.” General Grant and Sherman both referred to Nathan Bedford Forrest as “That Devil Forrest.” Revel had four ancestors who rode with General Forrest; two on his father’s side of the family and two on his mother’s side.
Rick Revel has previously appeared as our guest during TPC’s annual Confederate History Month series.
The inscription on Forrest’s tomb reads:
Those hoof beats die not upon fame’s crimson sod,
But will ring through her song and her story;
He fought like a Titan and struck like a god,
