Chirton School, near to Devizes, has managed to continue their annual Race for Life fundraiser, albeit with a small twist. Children ran in class bubbles this year, due to covid, and still managed to raise hundreds of pounds for charity. The school have supported the Devizes Branch of Cancer UK for a number of years, and say the charity is "very close to our hearts." Committee members pay tribute The Devizes Branch of the Royal British Legion have joined tributes for Prince Phillip in a socially-distanced ceremony. The Union Jack at St John's Church, on Long Street, has been lowered to mark the death of the Duke of Edinburgh. Members of the branch came together on Saturday (April 10) to pay tribute.
